Village’s Passageway Between Past and Feature

SSince the Middle Age, the historic pilgrimage route,”Via Lauretana”, has connected Rome to the Shrine of the Holy House of Loret. This Workshop aimed to identify the ancient way (in the Valnerina area) that were connected with that street to create a network of alternative choices to walk.


REQUIREMENTS
:
. Understand the unique characters of the place.
. Recognize the importance of the connections between the historic villages.
. Identify the critical and potential points of the entire route.

PROPOSAL:
Based on spot checks, historical, territorial and perceptive analysis has been found the street of “Mevale” as a central spot of the network in the area. The passageway defines in this way, turns into the core around which have arisen the entire village’s system. Through a micro, meso and macro scale analysis have been identified the potential and critical points and generated a concept studio about the street’s possible future.
